Intercity 26 to Balboa is a light-hearted swing dance exchange between Helsinki and Tampere, where the destination isn’t a city—it’s Balboa. We’ll be hopping on an IC train, swapping dance floors, and generally proving that excellent dancing pairs very well with public transportation.
No competitions. No pressure. Just trains, balboa, friends, and a shared understanding that this is exactly how a weekend should be spent.

Day One📍 Friday – Helsinki Departure Lounge
We kick things off in Helsinki with Balboa Fridays. Tampere dancers roll into town, hugs are exchanged, feet start shuffling, and the weekend officially leaves the station. Expect social dancing, friendly chaos, and that unmistakable feeling that you should probably have gone to bed earlier.
Day Two📍 Saturday – Tampere Terminal (via IC, obviously)
Saturday morning, we all board the train together and head north to Tampere like a very well-coordinated, slightly nerdy flash mob.
Once in Tampere:
Balboa workshops during the day – smooth, swingy, and suitable for people who enjoy close embrace and tiny footwork.
Evening party at Rakelandia, right in downtown Tampere – great floor, great music, great humans, and possibly the best dancing you’ve done all year (or at least all weekend).
